Hundreds camp out to see Pacino in New York

The Hollywood actor lead the cast of The Merchant of Venice, which debuted at the Delacorte Theater on Saturday night as part of this summer’s (10) Shakespeare In The Park performances.

Hundreds of fans queued to secure a free ticket to the first show, with many waiting up to eight hours.

The production played to a star-studded crowd, including actress Neve Campbell, and saw Chevy Chase seated in the audience dressed as a clown, taking part in the performance.
