Into The Woods to hit theatres on Christmas Day next year

The star-studded big screen adaptation of stage musical Into The Woods will hit cinemas on Christmas Day, 2014. Rob Marshall’s much-anticipated film, based upon Stephen Sondheim’s stageshow, will be a festive treat for film fans at the end of next year.
The movie will feature Emily Blunt, Johnny Depp, Meryl Streep, Jake Gyllenhaal and Chris Pine and BroadwayWorld.com reports Dion Beebe has been hired as Marshall’s director of photography after working with the filmmaker on the movies Memoirs of a Geisha, Chicago and Nine.
Shooting begins in London in September (13).
