James Bond’s submarine car up for auction

The submarine car Roger Moore drove as James Bond in The Spy Who Loved Me is expected to fetch almost $1.5 million (£1 million) at auction in London. The transformed Lotus Esprit vehicle, dubbed Wet Nellie, will be sold after it was discovered in a Long Island, New York storage unit.
Bosses at RM Auctions claim the car was placed in a pre-paid storage unit for 10 years after filming. The contents of the unit were sold sight unseen in 1989.
RM Auctions previously auctioned off the Aston Martin DB5 Sean Connery drove as 007 in Goldfinger and Thunderball movies for $4.35 million (£2.9 million).
