Actress January Jones has recorded a public service announcement to raise the awareness for the dwindling population of the great white shark. The X-Men: First Class star is featured in the recorded message for Oceana, the largest international organisation focused solely on ocean conservation, which aired on TV in America on Sunday (04Aug13) during the Discovery Channel’s Shark Week.
In the video, Jones, who has been an ambassador for Oceana’s shark protection campaigns since 2009, urges viewers to be “scared for” the plight of the giant sea predators.
She adds, “Healthy oceans need sharks. But great whites are in danger of extinction. Please help before it’s too late.”
