Pop superstar Justin Timberlake is set to be honoured with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards. The Suit and Tie hitmaker will follow in the footsteps of his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears, Janet Jackson and Madonna when he collects the accolade at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on 25 August (13).
The prize, which is not handed out every year, is handed to artists who have had a profound effect on MTV culture.
It’s shaping up to be a big night for Timberlake – he ties with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis for the most VMA nominations this year with six, while he has also been added to the line-up of performers.
