R&B singer Kelis has been hit with a new bill for unpaid federal income taxes. The Milkshake hitmaker is accused of owing the U.S. government $134,931 (£87,050) after falling behind on her taxes in 2004, according to documents filed last month (May13) and obtained by TMZ.com.
Kelis’ financial woes came to light last summer (12) when she was slapped with two liens for state taxes in New York and California in July (12).
However, the star may soon be able to start paying off her tax debts after recently selling her New York City condominium for around $2.2 million (£1.4 million).
