Kristen Bell’s Screaming Kids Turn Mornings Into Horror Movies

Actress Kristen Bell receives a rude awakening every morning from her screaming kids.

Lincoln, three, and 15-month-old Delta, the Frozen star’s two daughters with her actor husband Dax Shepard, insist on screaming the house down the moment they wake up.

“It’s a circus,” Kristen told U.S. talk show host Ellen DeGeneres. “I love it. I love them. But, you know what? You know where we could do better? Why does everyone wake up screaming?”

“Why don’t they tell you that (about parenthood)?” the exasperated mother complained. “Like, ‘They’re going to wake up screaming for, like, four years’. You wake up – the moment you wake up, you’re in, like, a horror movie, because everyone in the house is screaming b**ody murder!”

Kristen, 35, went on to joke about hoping to at least be treated with coffee in the morning, adding, “I kind of thought maybe they would, or at least when they get older, right? And they don’t,” she quipped. “They wake up screeching and screaming… “

The actress can at least turn to Dax for help, and they have previously revealed they rely on relationship counselling so they can work through any problems at home with a therapist to keep their marriage intact as they struggle through the ups and downs of parenting.

“I thought I had this life thing down pat when I met Dax,” Kristen told Good Housekeeping magazine last year (15). “I didn’t realise that I needed a much bigger toolbox to have confrontations and disagreements with people.”

“You do better in the gym with a trainer; you don’t figure out how to cook without reading a recipe. Therapy is not something to be embarrassed about.”
