Lasseter pays tribute to Jobs at Hollywood star ceremony

The Pixar Animation Studios boss received the 2,453rd star on the famous walkway and branded it “the greatest honour you could give me”, before lying down on top of the plaque.

But his speech turned serious as he remembered his late pal Jobs, who he worked with after the computer entrepreneur bought Pixar in the 1980s.

He said, “Without Steve, Pixar wouldn’t exist. These films wouldn’t exist. I honour him.”

The stars of Cars, including Owen Wilson and Bonnie Hunt, looked on as Lasseter accepted his award, while actor Don Rickles gave a speech about the moviemaker.

Jobs died last month (Oct11) after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
