Lover’s dove release angered Jennifer Lopez’s neighbour Halle Berry

Jennifer Lopez and her former Hollywood neighbour Halle Berry almost fell out after a desperate lover released hundreds of white doves outside the singer’s home, leaving a huge mess in the stars’ front yards. The singer/actress refuses to name the ex-boyfriend who made the grand gesture, but Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was previously rumoured to have pulled off a stunt with doves as he tried to win Lopez back following their 2001 split.
She admits she was stunned by the bird surprise, but it wasn’t enough to persuade her to take him back.
She explains, “I had broken up with somebody and they were trying to talk to me… and I was at my house getting ready for a big event… It was the daytime; we were doing hair and make-up and my hairdresser… goes, ‘Oh my God! Oh my God! Come to the window!’ So I go and then the phone rings. My assistant… came and she was like, ‘Will you please just pick up the phone and talk to this person?’ And they (the ex) were like, ‘Look out the window. Miracles happen.’
“I go to the window. The person in charge (of the birds) out there saw me at the window, I guess that was their cue, and they released hundreds of white doves.”
Lopez wasn’t the only woman left flabbergasted by the dove release – her neighbour Berry found a number of dead birds in her yard after they were attacked by her dogs.
The superstar recalls, “It was a mess…! Halle Berry lived next door to me at the time and a few of them (doves) didn’t make it, I guess, and her dogs… It was a situation! She was like, ‘There’s doves in my backyard!’ I was like, ‘I’m sorry!'”
