The sports star has been engaged to basketball player Sasha Vujacic since 2010 and online gossip suggested the couple will wed in the autumn.
Sharapova has now spoken out about the rumours and she is adamant the wedding is not on the horizon.
She tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, “Those are false rumours. I don’t know where that came from. I think it started as a rumour, and everyone just went on with it.”
