Australian singer Megan Washington has filed a lawsuit accusing an airline of featuring one of her songs in a promotional campaign without her permission. The I Believe You Liar hitmaker is suing executives of Australian carrier Qantas over claims they have misused a video of her singing patriotic track I Still Call Australia Home, which was taken during a one-off performance at the airline’s 90th anniversary party in 2010.
The lawsuit suggests the video has been posted on Qantas’ YouTube channel and the company website, and featured on their in-flight entertainment without proper permission, according to News.com.au.
A mediation meeting is scheduled to be held in Sydney, Australia on Monday (19Aug13).
