Mel Gibson’s ex facing bankruptcy challenge

Mel Gibson’s ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva is facing a challenge as she attempts to reduce her debts by declaring she is penniless after her bankruptcy trustee questioned a number of her expenses. The Russian songwriter filed for bankruptcy in February (14), revealing she has bills of $438,000 (£262,590) that she cannot afford to pay.
She claimed the majority of her fees were racked up during her bitter custody battle with Gibson over their young daughter Lucia in 2011, but a bankruptcy official has raised concerns about some of the monthly costs she has listed, including $2,000 (£1,250) for home maintenance, $750 (£469) for electricity and heating, $300 (£188) for her cell phone bill, and $90 (£56) for gopher patrol, according to TMZ.com.
The financial official also noted that Grigorieva had run up a $51,000 (£31,875) credit card bill shortly before declaring bankruptcy.
