The Bridesmaids star appears in a new movie called Identity Thief with Jason Bateman and reveals she fell victim to a similar crime a decade ago.
McCarthy admits the incident left her broke and she ended up sobbing in a bank when she discovered all her money had been taken.
She tells Etonline.com, “I didn’t have hardly anything (sic) on the account, but I needed every cent of it… (The thief) got a hold of my account and they were writing cheques all over L.A… Then I sat in a bank and cried until security said, ‘I think we need you to go outside.'”
