Miley Cyrus has taken to Twitter.com in an effort to clear up remarks she made during a rant onstage during a show in London on Friday night (09May14), insisting she was not taking aim at her ex-fiance. Gossips were quick to scrutinise what Cyrus said during a raucous gig at G-A-Y, when she revealed she wrote her hit Wrecking Ball in a bid to seek revenge on a former partner.
She said, “I wrote this song after somebody broke my heart, and I just wanted to say ‘f**k you’. I wanted to write a number one hit, something that would be on the radio. I wanted to make sure every time he turned on his radio, he would hear my song and will keep hearing it for the rest of his life.”
The remarks led many to believe she was talking about actor Liam Hemsworth, who split from Cyrus last year (13), but now the pop star is making it clear that she was not thinking about him when she raged onstage in London.
She tweets, “just FYI what I said the other night at G.A.Y had nothing to do with Liam. I was just tryin to rile up the boys. “I don’t usually respond to tabloidy stuff but this isn’t something I want being spread around. It sounded hateful but not what I meant… I never want hateful things being said about those I care about… I was just tooooo turnttttt up (excited).”
