Munn, Peete and Simmons express sadness after Ohio school shooting

Four teenagers were shot when a gunman opened fire at the Chardon High School early on Monday. One was killed on site, while two others have since died from their wounds. The fourth victim is reported to be stable in hospital.

Sophomore T.J. Lane has been taken into custody for questioning by local officials but charges have yet to be filed and an investigation is still ongoing.

In the wake of the tragedy, a slew of celebrities have spoken out to condemn the violence and offer their condolences to those affected by the cruel act.

In a post on Twitter.com, Iron Man 2 beauty Munn writes, “My thoughts & prayers to all the students, faculty and victim’s families of the shooting. Senseless and devastating,” and 21 Jump Street star Peete adds, “What can we do to stop this??? #senselesstragedy: Second student dies from Ohio school shooting”.

Music mogul Russell Simmons is also pushing for change and urging members of the public not to forget the lives lost, writing, “HE HAS A NAME: #DanielParmertor, student shot & killed at Chardon High School.”
