Nate Dogg’s son to play college American football

Tragic rapper Nate Dogg’s son has been recruited to play American football at the University of Arizona. Naijiel Hale announced his decision to join the Arizona Wildcats as a cornerback next autumn (14) on Tuesday (02Jul13).
He tells local publication the Arizona Daily Star, “I’ve known I’ve wanted to play for them since the day they offered me (the job). They’ve been my top school since day one.”
The teenager, whose Regulate hitmaker father, real name Nathaniel Hale, died of stroke complications in 2011, has struggled to overcome the tragedy, but he hopes the new gig will give him the chance to start his own legacy.
He adds, “One of the main reasons I wanted to play football was to get myself out there and make a name for myself. Now I get to do that.”
He isn’t the only celebrity offspring hoping to make a name for himself as a college football star – Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ son Justin is currently a member of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Bruins.
