Weakest Link producer Phil Gurin has recently secured the rights to a Swedish show called The Big Mission, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show – which starts with thousands of contestants, then is narrowed down to 10 finalists and finally to one winner – offers the winner a trip to space in a reusable launch vehicle, a la space tourist Dennis Tito, who paid his way into orbit last month. Mission has already started airing in Denmark, and is slated to appear in Great Britain, Australia, Japan, Italy, Holland and Sweden. The prize won’t be ready for another two or three years.
