Paul Heaton rules out 25th anniversary Beautiful South reunion

British pop star Paul Heaton has ruled out reforming his band The Beautiful South for a 25th anniversary gig. The A Little Time hitmakers split in 2007 but relaunched in 2009 as The New Beautiful South – without founding member Heaton and his songwriting partner David Rotheray.
Now the former Housemartins star has insisted he has no plans to get back with the band for a full reunion to mark the 25 years since the release of 1989 debut album, Welcome to the Beautiful South.
When asked if any plans are afoot to reform the original line-up, Heaton tells U.K. talk show Loose Women, “No, no, that won’t happen. Not to worry.”
