Paul Walker’s Daughter Promises To ‘Continue To Fght’ Porsche In Wrongful Death Lawsuit

Paul Walker’s daughter is determined to continue fighting Porsche bosses over his death, even though a similar lawsuit was dismissed on Monday (04Apr16).

The Fast and the Furious actor was killed in 2013 when the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT his friend Roger Rodas was driving them in crashed into a pole and burst into flames.

Rodas’ wife Kristine filed a wrongful death lawsuit in 2014 against Porche executives, claiming the vehicle was faulty, and Meadow filed similar legal action in September (15) insisting the car lacked safety features which could have prevented her father’s death.

Kristine’s lawsuit was dismissed on Monday when a judge ruled the car manufacturers were not at fault, but Meadow’s lawyer is confident their case can be successful and they are determined to keep fighting.

“The issues in the cases are very different,” attorney Jeff Milam writes in a statement to Thewrap.com. “Meadow’s father, Paul Walker, was a passenger in the car. He survived the crash but was trapped and burned to death because of the vehicle’s defects.

“A significant portion of the judge’s decision was based on the rejection of evidence because of missed deadlines and also a failure to sue Porsche AG, the manufacturer… Meadow will continue to fight to hold Porsche accountable for selling a defective product that kills.”

Meadow, 17, is the actor’s only child, from his relationship with Rebecca Soteros.
