Police called to Tommy Tune’s home over noisy After Midnight cast party

Police officers were reportedly called to Broadway legend Tommy Tune’s New York home earlier this week (begs28Apr14) after neighbours complained about a noisy After Midnight cast party. The dancer/choreographer was hosting a soiree to celebrate the production’s Tony Award nominations haul on Tuesday (29Apr14), when cops were called after the musical’s orchestra arrived to perform.
However, Tune was “unperturbed” by the officers’ arrival and invited them in to “join a Champagne prayer circle” to celebrate the show – and they obliged, according to the New York Post.
The cast was subsequently allowed to continue with the bash, but told to keep the noise down.
After Midnight is up for seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Direction of a Musical.
