Redgrave and Earl Jones raise $22,000 for theatre charity

The acting legends have pulled in huge crowds and rave reviews since the production opened in London this autumn (11).

They staged an appeal for theatre charity Acting for Others last week (ends27Nov11), urging the audiences to donate whatever they could – and they even signed posters for sale to boost the fund.

It’s now been revealed the campaign raised $22,155 (£13,847) for the scheme, and Redgrave is delighted with the total.
