Robert Blake Computer Thieves Own Up

The two teenagers who stole actor Robert Blake‘s computer from his lawyer’s Los
Angeles home have pleaded guilty to the burglary.

The theft of Blake‘s software delayed the beginning of his high-profile trial
last year–in which he escaped conviction for the murder of his wife
Bonny Lee Bakley–because the PC contained vital information relating to his
case.

Michael Washington Jr., 19, admitted two counts of residential burglary and
was sentenced to two years in prison. Koi Burton, 18, admitted one burglary charge and has yet to be sentenced.

The laptop computer was stolen from M. Gerald Schwartzbach’s home on Dec. 1, while he was preparing for Blake‘s trial, and was recovered at a Los Angeles pawn shop on the same day.

The former Baretta star was acquitted of murder last month. He now
faces a civil trial relating to the same case in July.
