The R&B star’s summer smash Blurred Lines is the first song to rule over the countdown for two-and-a-half months since Rihanna and Calvin Harris’ 2011 release We Found Love, and the first by an individual male artist since Flo Rida cracked the 10-week mark with Low in 2008.
Thicke’s chart domination keeps Miley Cyrus’ We Can’t Stop in second place for a third non-consecutive week, while Imagine Dragons are at three with Radioactive.
Daft Punk’s Get Lucky collaboration with Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers stays put at four and Jay Z and Justin Timberlake’s Holy Grail remains at five.
