Safety seminar set up to honour dead camera assistant

Officials at two movie organisations in Georgia are staging a safety seminar dedicated to late camera assistant Sarah Jones, who lost her life while filming Allman Brothers biopic Midnight Rider in the state last month (20Feb14). Savannah Filmmakers and Savannah Women in Film and Television (SWIFT) members are joining forces to host a two-hour event at the Coastal Georgia Center on Saturday (29Mar14).
Jones, 27, was killed by an oncoming train while filming on a railway trestle in Wayne County.
The incident is still under investigation and production on the film has since been suspended.
