The Thelma & Louise star took on hosting duties for the Hope North Ping-Pong Ball at her Spin table tennis club in New York, introducing performances from artists including Wainwright, his sister Martha, rocker Jesse Malin, and singer-songwriter Josh Ritter.
The event also included an auction featuring tickets to a U2 concert and a cameo role in U.S. TV show Weeds.
Sarandon told guests, “Not only do I hope you have a lot of fun… but I can also vouch that everything you are giving is going in the right place.”
