The sportsman has been accused of allegedly trashing his suite at a Nashville hotel and setting off several fire alarms in the building following a confrontation with management staff.
He tried to make a hasty exit, but slipped and fell, sustaining a cut to his head, and was subsequently arrested by police on suspicion of public intoxication and vandalism.
White has now opened up about the incident in a post on his Facebook.com page, admitting he behaved badly after drinking too much while celebrating the wedding of his musician pal Patrick Carney on Saturday night (15Sep12).
Expressing regret over his actions, he writes, “I want to apologize for the unwise choices I made over the weekend and for any inconvenience it caused my family, friends, business partners, the hotel and their guests. I was celebrating a happy occasion with a ton of family and friends and got carried away. I’m truly sorry for my poor behavior.”
Black Keys star Carney wed Emily Ward on Saturday in the backyard of their Nashville home. Further details about the drummer’s nuptials were not available as WENN went to press.
