Sick Will Young pulls out of theatre shows

British singer Will Young has been forced to bow out of a stage production of Cabaret in Dublin, Ireland after falling ill. The Leave Right Now star successfully portrayed Emcee in a West End run of the hit musical, which ended in January (13), and he has since embarked on a Cabaret tour of the U.K. and Ireland.
However, he was struck down with a bout of influenza late on Tuesday (29Oct13) and had to pull out of the gig at the Gaiety Theatre on Wednesday (30Oct13) and Thursday (31Oct13), with understudy Simon Jaymes stepping in as he rests up.
Young is expected to return to the stage in the role made famous by Broadway veteran Joel Grey on Friday (01Nov13) for the final two nights of the Dublin tour stop.
