Dominican singer Juan Francisco Santana has died at the age of 84. The musician passed away on Saturday (11Jan14) after slipping into a diabetic coma, four months after he was confined to bed rest due to ailing health.
Santana became known for performing boleros and merengue tunes, scoring hits with tracks like Massa Massa, Salve San Cristobal and Ansias. He also played with the Antonio Morel group and the Oquesta Ciudad Trujillo.
