Sports director Sandy Grossman dies at 78

Iconic TV sports director Sandy Grossman has died after a long battle with cancer. The 78 year old passed away at his home in Boca Raton, Florida on Wednesday (02Apr14).
Grossman spent more than 21 seasons behind the camera covering American football games for U.S. networks CBS and Fox, working alongside retired player-turned-coach John Madden.
He directed a record 10 Super Bowl broadcasts, as well as 18 National Basketball Association Finals and five Stanley Cup Finals for the National Hockey League (NHL), and won a total of eight Emmy awards.
