Sting stung by Egyptian crowd

At a massive rock concert held Wednesday at Egypt’s Giza Pyramids, crowds that had waited 90 minutes to see Egyptian rocker Hakim turned belligerent when they saw Sting take the stage instead. Though both were scheduled to appear at the show, fans of Hakim erupted with anti-Western protests when they saw their homegrown hero was being bumped behind the British singer/songwriter, Variety reported. The show’s organizers claimed Hakim had arrived late to the event and rescheduling was required.
