The Swamp People regular was taken to hospital in Louisiana, where he was pronounced dead on Monday (14May12).
Guist and his brother Glenn shot to fame last year (11) as alligator hunters in the hit TV series, set among the Atchafalaya swamp community in Louisiana.
A cause of death has not yet been released.
