U.S. boxing champion Alexis Urbina has died following a savage beating at his home in Arizona. The 17 year old, who became a USA Boxing National Championship youth champ in April (13), died of his injuries on Thursday (05Sep13).
Phoenix police are investigating the case as a homicide.
Urbina was found unconscious and covered in blood at his family home on Tuesday afternoon (03Sep13).
