The Former Artist Known as Prince told a New York press conference that he was inspired to return to his given name after publishing contracts with his old nemesis, Warner Bros. Records, expired Dec. 31.
Said Mr. P: “I will now go back to using my name instead of the symbol I adopted to free myself from all undesirable relationships.”
