The Eagles return to the Los Angeles Forum for relaunch

Rock legends The Eagles helped re-open Los Angeles’ fabled Forum venue on Wednesday night (15Jan14) with a hits set featuring original guitarist Bernie Leadon. The group returned to the concert mecca following a $100 million (£62.5 million) makeover, and singer Glenn Frey was thrilled to be part of the relaunch.
Taking a moment during the band’s 28-song set that was arranged chronologically, he told fans, “This is going to become the premier large venue”, adding, “It’s about the only facelift I care for in Hollywood.”
The Eagles will play a six-night residency at the Forum that continues on Friday night (17Jan14).
A massive vinyl replica of the group’s Hotel California album sits atop the new-look Forum.
