The Osbournes Going to Print

Hot off their MTV reality show, Ozzy Osbourne and his lovable, but dysfunctional, family have signed a deal with Pocket Books (under the Simon & Schuster umbrella) for world rights to two books.

In a deal worth more than $3 million, the two books–one a paperback tie-in to the MTV show and the other a hardcover family memoir–come after the Osbournes signed a $20 million deal with MTV for two more seasons.

The trade paperback will be published in November, and the memoir will follow next spring. In the memoir, each Osbourne family member, including the never-before-seen daughter Aimee, will narrate a portion of it. Bleeps and all.

“The Osbournes are a popular phenomenon of the first magnitude,” Simon & Schuster Adult Publishing Group President Carolyn Reidy told Variety.

“Their appeal is multigenerational and covers the entire political and cultural spectrum. We’re bleeping delighted to publish them at Simon & Schuster,” she added.
