A California insurance broker has been ordered to pay Tom Hanks and his actress wife Rita Wilson $840,000 (£560,000) in restitution after over-charging the couple as part of a three-year scam. Jerry Goldman has also been sentenced to serve 27 months behind bars in federal prison.
He pleaded guilty to mail fraud in April (13), and was sentenced on Monday (04Nov13), according to City News Service.
