A lawsuit against Alex Trebek has been dropped after the Jeopardy host obtained a tape that contradicted assault charges brought against him by a United Airlines employee, ABC News reports. The incident reportedly happened in March 2000 at the Los Angeles International Airport. The employee, Marlene Andrade, alleged that Trebek lifted the metal guard on a conveyer belt and slammed it on her hand after the two had a disagreement over the game show host’s oversized bag, resulting in a tug of war. Trebek, who maintained his innocence, obtained an airport surveillance tape that showed no wrong doing on his part. Andrade’s attorney has since filed a motion to dismiss the case.
