Trial date set in former Miss USA’s DUI case

The beauty queen, 26, was arrested in Michigan in December (11) and she appeared in a Detroit court on Wednesday (18Jan12), when a trial date was set for 14 March (12).

However, Fakih’s lawyer W. Otis Culpepper is confident the case will be brought to a “proper conclusion” before March (12).

A plea deal had not been offered at the time of the court hearing.

Fakih was the first Arab American ever to be crowned Miss USA when she landed the title in 2010.
