Dark Shadows writer Sam Hall has died at the age of 93. He passed away in New York on Friday (26Sep14) after a bout of pneumonia.
Hall penned more than 300 episodes of gothic TV show Dark Shadows, which became a 2012 film starring Johnny Depp, as well as writing for soaps including One Life to Live and Santa Barbara. He was nominated for five Daytime Emmy Awards and a Peabody Award during his career.
Hall was married to Dark Shadows star Grayson Hall for 33 years. The Oscar-nominated actress died in 1985.
