Warner Bros. bosses pay tribute to Chasen

The public relations mogul was mysteriously shot dead while driving through Los Angeles in the early hours of Tuesday (16Nov10) after attending the premiere of Cher and Christina Aguilera’s new film Burlesque.

Chasen’s brother, director Larry Cohen, and top client composer Hans Zimmer were among the first celebrities to publicly mourn the publicist’s death and now Warner Bros. bosses have done the same in the pages of Friday’s (19Nov10) Variety.

The dedication mourns the loss of “an extraordinary woman, whose kind spirit, energy and passion for life has been an inspiration to all”.

It continues, “You were truly one of a kind. We feel proud and privileged to have known you.”

Police have launched an investigation into the shocking crime, but have yet to name a suspect or motive.

Rewards totalling $125,000 (£83,300) have been offered for information leading to the killer’s conviction.
