Actor Willem Dafoe is set to star as iconic artist Andy Warhol in a new YVES SAINT LAURENT biopic. Gaspard Ulliel will play the title character in Bertrand Bonello’s new film, which will also feature form Bond girl Olga Kurylenko and Jeremie Renier.
The project is currently filming and is set for release in May, 2014.
Dafoe’s film faces competition – Yves Saint Laurent, directed by Jalil Lesper, will also reportedly hit theatres next year (14). That film will star Pierre Niney as the designer and Nikolai Kinski as Karl Lagerfeld.
