Zach Roerig wins full custody of daughter

The Vampire Diaries star Zach Roerig has won sole custody of his two-year-old daughter. The actor, who plays Matt Donovan in the hit U.S. TV show, launched a legal battle against his incarcerated ex-girlfriend Alanna Turner earlier this year (13) in a bid to gain custody of their child, Georgia.
It has now emerged Roerig, who kept the 2011 birth out of the public eye until recently, was awarded sole custody last month (Sep13), allowing him to make all future decisions for his daughter.
In paperwork filed by Roerig when launching the battle in June (13), he reportedly claimed Turner is serving time behind bars following three arrests and a guilty plea in federal court to “various crimes”.
He also asked her to pay him child support but has since taken back the request, according to TMZ.com.
