“Love Potion” morning feature tees off British viewers

Britain’s television watchdog, the Independent Television Commission, said Monday that it will look into viewer complaints about a live TV test of “female love potions” broadcast on ITV’s This Morning, the London Daily Sun reported Tuesday. According to the newspaper, the hosts of the Granada-produced show, Richard Madeley and Judy Finigan, sent two couples to hotels for one hour with the potions, massage oils and a Barry White CD. They returned an hour later and graphically reported on the results. A Granada spokesman defended the love-potion test. “It’s a topic of real interest to viewers,” he said.
