Catalina Sandino Moreno almost shunned A Most Violent Year role

Oscar nominee Catalina Sandino Moreno had no interest in taking on a small role in A Most Violent Year until she learned J.c. Chandor was directing the film. The Maria Full of Grace actress reveals she initially shunned the two-hour New York crime drama, which stars Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain, because her character Luisa only appears in a single scene.
She tells Fox News Latino, “It was only one scene. I told them I didn’t want it. I wanted something with more meat on it.”
However, Sandino Moreno had a change of heart after realising the All Is Lost and Margin Call filmmaker was taking charge of the project.
She adds, “(Chandor’s) movies are incredible.”
