“Little Nicky” Premiere

HOLLYWOOD, November 7, 2000 — What if the devil got it on with an angel and they had a son? Would you run and hide?

Not if you’re an Adam Sandler fan. And there were plenty of them Thursday night at the Mann Chinese Theatre for the premiere of “Little Nicky“.

Sandler plays the offspring of heaven and hell, who has to stop his two evil brothers (played by Tommy “Tiny” Lister Jr. and Rhys Ifans) from destroying the world.

The movie is loaded with cameos, and the red carpet’s melding of the Harlem Globetrotters, Rodney Dangerfield, and Ozzy Osbourne together made the event surreal, reminiscent of the dream sequence in Sandler’s “Happy Gilmore.”

“We got into the film after having a conversation about ‘Gilligan’s Island,’ which was the last time we were onscreen,” said Globetrotter Manny Jackson.

One thing that was very apparent at the premiere was the love that people who work with Sandler have for him.

“Adam is a generous man and he loves to work with his friends. I asked him if I could be in the movie,” smiled Jon Lovitz.

“Hollywood needs more people like him. He’s a no B.S kinda guy and I’m very grateful that he wanted me in his movie,” said co-star Lister.

The movie also stars Quentin Tarantino, Patricia Arquette, Reese Witherspoon, Harvey Keitel and Kevin Nealon.
