Crime drama Magical Girl and its director Carlos Vermut have triumphed at Spain’s San Sebastian Film Festival, picking up top honours. The movie picked up the Golden Shell for Best Film and Spaniard Vermut was named Best Director.
Benicio del Toro and Denzel Washington were honoured with their career achievements, while La Isla Minima star Javier Gutierrez was handed the Best Actor prize and Danish actress Paprika Steen won Best Actress for her role in Stille Hjerte (Silent Heart).
