Newsman Bill McLaughlin dies at 76

Former news anchor Bill Mclaughlin has died at the age of 76. McLaughlin suffered a cardiac arrest on Friday (07Mar14) and passed away in Waterbury, Connecticut.
He began his career as TV network CBS’ Paris reporter in 1966, and covered diplomatic and international news stories, including the Vietnam War, Middle East conflicts and the 1972 Munich Olympic Games terrorist attacks.
In addition to his time at CBS, McLaughlin also worked for NBC as a United Nations correspondent from 1979 to 1981.
