As if her punky hairstyle didn’t already mark her departure from the innocent Hannah Montana that tweens endlessly adored, Miley Cyrus makes it more than clear she is not our darling Disney star anymore with her latest track.
Miley’s new single “We Can’t Stop,” produced by Mike WiLL Made It and co-written by Cyrus, Mike WiLL and Rock City, premiered June 3 on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS FM radio show.
Accompanied by a monster-like, distorted voice that utters “This our party, we can do what we want,” Cyrus’s tune has a slow and and somewhat dull R&B beat. However, the single does feature pretty racy lyrics for the 20-year-old superstar.
The bridge of the song has Miley blurting out, “We like to party/ Dancing with Molly, doing whatever we want.” Oh okay, Miley! The album artwork alone shows Cyrus’s party side with red-cups in hand, but her risqué lyrics further emphasize that Miley is for sure a wild child.
We were already aware that Miley Cyrus “Can’t Be Tamed” after seeing her twerk, but now we know she can’t be stopped as well.
