Ok, I consider myself a nerd but even I have my limits. I might not read comic books regularly but I’d like to think I know enough of the basics to have a decent conversation with someone about them. But I never even realized that there was a difference between Hawkman and Hawkeye. I thought people were misspeaking. Apparently Hawkeye is a dude with a bow that can shoot really well and is in The Avengers. Hawkman on the other hand is a man hawk with a mace and is just now getting ready to fly into movie theaters. Also -man is DC while -eye is Marvel which is important.
If you’re the kind of person who would be super excited about this movie please don’t get your hopes up. It’s been in development for years (there were whispers in the wind about it being made in 2009 but even at that point it had been talked about for years). It’s even caused quite a few spats of blogger fights and you know how vicious those can be. So take the news with a grain of salt. Or else Hawkeye will get you. Wait, no. Hawkman. Which one are we talking about again?
