‘Nutty Professor 3’ in the Works?

Eddie Murphy has announced tentative plans to bring back the Klump family for a third Nutty Professor installment.

Talking to Access Hollywood at Sunday’s Shrek Forever After premiere, Murphy said: “You know what, there might be another Nutty Professor. We kind of wrote something that might be kind of funny. If the studios want to do it, we’ll do it … If you don’t see it, the studio was like, ‘This isn’t funny.’

If the threequel comes to fruition, it would be released over a decade after The Nutty Professor II: The Klumps, which hit theaters in 2000 and earned over $120 million.
